Track Hackers On Facebook

Today I figured out a simple way to see if others are logging into your account from somewhere else than your computer.  The steps are simple and the reward is great – being that you know whether or not your Facebook account is being hacked (or just accessed by a suspicious someone)

First go to ‘Account’ at the top right corner and click ‘Account Settings’ on the dropdown menu.  It should bring up a page that looks like the one below.

Facebook - My Account

Next go to ‘Account Security’.  It won’t be opened like it is here. You will have to click ‘change’ to expand it.

Check ‘Yes’ under the question ‘Would you like to receive notifications for logins from new devices?’  This will alert you if anyone has accessed your account from their cell phone, laptop or any other device.  This will also let you know if you have from another computer, so be aware of that if that is something you do regularly.  This will alert you via email.  Second, if you are like me and don’t get email on your phone because you don’t have internet (Yes, I know I’m cheap), you can also select the box marked ‘SMS’ which will send you a text message to your mobile phone.  And that’s it! Below is a more detailed picture.Facebook - My Account(finished2)
